The new transwarp conduit established to connect Earth to the Delta Quadrant had been too enticing a prospect to leave well alone. The Deep Space Incident had sent the strike force launched to avert it turning on its heel and giving pursuit at transwarp velocities, without the aid of a conduit. But that was nothing compared to the terrors that awaited him at his destination, or even in his very brig.
